In my works you will find special shapes, delineated areas and lines that connect in many ways, which are joined together to form a coherent composition. With free gestures – applied with charcoal, ink or colored pencils – symbols, typographic elements and abstract-figurative signs are further complementary parts of the picture. The creative process is influenced by moods and feelings from my inner life, by various experiences from my travels and intensive perceptions in nature.

Typography – The image always has the last word
Trigger emotions and influence entire messages through visual expression.
Most people don’t even think about how type and symbolism can affect us and influence us. Every day and everywhere, we are surrounded by characters and thus typography. Typographical signs, numbers, symbols and type are not only used to convey information. In many of my works, I use personal characters and forms of expression such as lines, empty spaces, surfaces, symbolism and collages alongside colour forms.

As I make freedom the principle of my work, I am naturally far removed from patronizing the viewer of my works as to how they should see my pictures. I understand my work timelessly as absolute painting in the sense of unrestricted pictorial art. Ideologies of perception or interpretation are banished; I rely on the experimental, on the vitality of composition and color, on the power of the sensual and physical.
