Harmonising different techniques

The most important thing first: the inspiration usually comes with the randomly selected work steps. There are collage pieces, fragments of all kinds, strokes, lines, shapes, colours, splashes, stencils, personal typographic symbols and text characters – simply different techniques for an imaginative mix on a special background.

Art on cardboard is a particular challenge to work with. But that’s exactly what I’m looking for as an artist who likes to experiment. Here, too, the journey is the reward: in my abstract and figurative cardboard paintings, I am always concerned with the overall composition.
